Please explain why absences beyond the number allowed in the syllabus is not a reasonable accommodation.The only absolutely required in-person participation in this course is participation in the 3 hands-on labs (3 hours once per week for 6 weeks). Given the large course enrollment the department does not offer make-up labs. The student can alternatively enroll in the PHYS13100 online lab section if that is offered.

For quizzes (all online) there will be a 24h time frame during which to take a quiz in order to accommodate different time schedules and/or medical conditions. Solutions to homework assignments as well as to quizzes will be posted immediately after the associated deadlines for submission, thus a standard, repeated extension is unreasonable. For one-time emergencies see Section C.
