Transportation
On Campus
All bus transportation at the University of Chicago is accessible to individuals with disabilities; including Chicago Transit Authority Routes 170, 171, 172, 173, 174, and 192. Lifts and ramps on all buses are available for use upon request by anyone who has trouble with steps, even temporarily. The Evening Shuttles and Safe Ride also provide accessible transportation. Dial-A-Ride Bus Transportation
The University of Chicago Transportation and Parking Department offers a complimentary bus program called Dial-A-Ride. Eligible students with University approval can schedule door to door bus transportation service. Service for transportation is arranged at the beginning of the quarter after the confirmation of class schedules. Transportation for additional classes or University activities can be scheduled 24 hours in advance by contacting the Transportation Office at 773-457-0128. Inquires for eligiblity maybe directed to the Coordinator for Students with Disabilities.

If an injury makes it difficult for a student to maneuver about the campus, the student may be placed on the Injured Student Transportation List with the University Police.
City of Chicago and Suburbs
Chicago Transit Authority (CTA)
The CTA provides fully accessible services on most of its bus routes and rail ("el") services, and provides door-to-door paratransit services to those who qualify.
Metra
All train lines in the Metra system are fully accessible. Service spans all six counties in metropolitan Chicago.
PACE Bus
PACE provides fully accessible transit services within the six county metropolitan Chicago area, and door-to-door paratransit services for those who qualify.
